Boris wants to let cars back in to London

One of the Mayor of London’s first steps was to ditch the Emissions-Related Congestion Charge scheme. Now he has launched a public consultation on whether to scrap the ‘Western Extension’, which has reduced motor traffic by 30,000 vehicles a day and last year generated £137m revenue for public transport, allowing Transport for London to spend more on cycling provision.
