I have noticed, in some news stories. that priority tends to be ‘for delays’ than over the accident.
People want a ‘reason’ for the ‘delay’ or ‘incident’ (sounds kind of minor doesn’t it?). (Actually, shouldn’t it be called a ‘yet another disaster’? An accident may only be part of it…. A cyclist had has been killed.. there are have numerous delays on the B24 and the police will close the whole road for 3 hours. The same thing happens with fatalities on railways.. ie there has been a fatality but police are trying desperately to get the railway up and running to minimise ‘inconvenience’.
