Mothers drive whilst breastfeeding? Yes, many do

You would think, that for a mother, and anyone else for that matter, this would be obvious not to do that, but not to a dippy motorist. Several cases of ‘jellybrain’. The matter was brought to the attention by another person who reported her for talking on a mobile phone and breastfeeding at the same time. I wonder if our police would have done anything considering there were no witnesses. The police were gobsmacked.

“KETTERING, Ohio — Police in Ohio said a woman has been charged with endangering a child after another motorist reported she was breast-feeding a youngster and talking on a phone while driving.

Police in the Dayton suburb of Kettering said the caller told them he saw the woman Thursday.

Officer Michael Burke said authorities used a license-plate number to track down Genine Compton, 39.

He said the woman told officers she was breast-feeding and wouldn’t let her child go hungry.

Burke said the legal concern is that Compton had a child in her lap while driving, not that she was breast-feeding in public. He said the child was younger than 2”.

Now, you would think this is a one off… no, it isn’t, here is some recent news from Australia:

“A drunken mother was breast-feeding her five-month-old baby at the wheel when she almost crashed into a police car, horrified officers discovered.

The teenager was so sloshed she could not provide a roadside breath test and was arrested at the scene in the Australian town of Alice Springs.

She was driving away from a bar when officers spotted her.
They were forced to brake suddenly to avoid a collision with the 19-year-old’s estate car and saw her drive off with the baby attached to one breast”.

IT’S THAT AGE OF STUPID AGAIN!
