A few ‘rare’ Multibike crashes involving bad drivers

Whilst trawling on the internet, I found these within a couple of hours or so. Considering I found them so quickly, there has to be many many more multibike crashes involving motorists round the world, not as ‘rare’ as cycling organisations tend to think, after all, they want to encourage cycling.

One thing that ‘intrigues’ me is the hit-and-run aspect of some of these motorists, they just want to get away with it. It is a good job RoSPA is ‘looking into their behaviour’ at the Congress.

From multibikecrash on Twitter:

and if you think motorists are ploughing to masses of cyclists, they are mowing down whole groups of pedestrians including schoolchildren, see links on http://www.crapwalthamforest.blogspot.com. The ‘mass injuries’ needs to be properly looked at legally.

We don’t want a ‘slap-the-wrist’ for these uberlouts.

  1. It is astonishing how a lot of this News barely rates a Mention on the National and International Media. When it comes to Cyclists it is even worse.

I only found out about those 13Cyclists getting Mowed down in Garristown North County Dublin in 09 because of CrapWaltham Forests Blog. It was in the Evening Herald Newspaper but that was it ,it was not on the Television News. I hardly ever Read those Newspapers prefering to just look at the Internet.

Two Years ago or so a Group of French Middle aged Women on Holidays was knocked down by a Drunk Driver and two were Killed.Who had lost his Licence and had no Insurance and just went off and bought a cheap Car ,then went off Drinking and Crashed into the Women on the Canal Bridge in South Dublin near the Naas Road. Last Year in the Early Hours around 2.00am a Group of People were walking Home on the Malahide Road when a Car Mounted the Footpath and Killed two or three People, this happens from time to time.

A few Years ago an Asylum Seeker who was Refused a Stay in Ireland Ploughed down a Car Free Pedestrianised Street and Crashed into a Throng of People with a lot of Injuries caused but no Deaths, this was in Henry Street Dublin.

There are a lot of Single Car Crashes mostly on Country Roads and some Motorways in the Early Hours, For any Number of Reasons Alcohol, Drugs,Tirdness.

  2. It is quite staggering how people can be flown into the air and have no ‘aggravating speed ‘ involved. How did that happen? It beggers belief.
