Midnight Treks

Last week J and me thought it would be fun to have a midnight trek in Wadhurst.

We found a perfect country lane for it. Because of the trees overhead it was pitchblack in parts, so much so, we could hardly even see each other. We both wore Hi-Viz but when it was so dark, even that was hard to see.

It was a lot nicer when there were less trees and we could see the stars and planes going overhead. At one point, we heard an owl.

Trees at night gave a spooky appearance with their odd shapes.

We stayed in the same lane so we didn’t get lost, although we had a map just in case. In the dark, it was quite easy to walk along someone’s driveway accidently.

We didn’t really have enough torch batteries so we were concerned that the would run out, so our walk only went on for half an hour, but it was a scary walk, and to be honest, it was quite enough:-)
